These terms cover your use of michealhilton.com and explain what the coaching is and is not. By using this site or submitting an application, you accept them.

I provide one-to-one mental performance coaching for footballers. The work is about how a player thinks, prepares and performs under pressure.

I am a mental performance coach. I am not a psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor or medical practitioner, and the coaching is not therapy, psychological treatment or medical care.

Coaching is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or a qualified clinician. If you are in crisis, contact your GP, NHS 111, or the Samaritans on 116 123.

If something comes up in our work that belongs with a clinician rather than a coach, I will say so.

Submitting an application does not create a coaching agreement and does not oblige me to offer you a place. I work with a small number of players at a time and choose who I take on. If I think the work is a fit, I will contact you to arrange a conversation.

Where a player is under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the coaching and is responsible for arranging it. I will keep that parent or guardian appropriately informed about the work.

I will bring my full effort and experience to the work. I cannot and do not guarantee particular outcomes: selection, contracts, scholarships, playing time or performance. What you get out of the coaching depends heavily on what you put into it between sessions.

What is said in sessions stays between us. I do not disclose who I work with unless I have their permission. The exception is where I believe someone is at risk of serious harm, or where the law requires disclosure.

The words, images and materials on this site are mine and may not be copied or reused without permission. I keep the site accurate and available as far as I reasonably can, but I do not guarantee it will always be either.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, I am not liable for decisions you take based on the coaching or on this site.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
