One-to-one mental performance coaching for footballers
Sustain your mental edge when fear and pressure kick in.
People see the talent, but what they don’t see is what’s going on internally: the pressure to perform, the fear of making mistakes, the expectations, the highs, the lows, and those quiet conversations you have in your own head that raise your self-doubt and fear.

What makes the approach different
Private by design
No groups, no courses, no content to work through. A direct coaching relationship built around one player.
Beneath the surface
The work targets the internal story driving the performance, not surface-level motivation.
Football-specific
Every conversation is anchored to the realities of a football career: selection, form, pressure, contracts, identity.
The programme
- Direct message your coach for support between sessions
- One-to-one breakthrough sessions with your coach
- Practical homework and mindset tasks between sessions
The application process
Submit a private application
Short, considered questions about your game and what is happening beneath it.
Micheal reviews the application
Every application is read personally and treated confidentially.
A private conversation
Suitable players are invited to a private performance consultation.
The work is designed
If there is a strong fit, a coaching relationship is designed around the player.
A few things to know
How much time will this require each week?
Sessions run for approximately 60 minutes and take place every 7 to 10 days. Between sessions, your child will have a short set of focused actions to work on, typically 10 to 15 minutes a day. Nothing is excessive or overwhelming. The work is designed to fit around training schedules, school, and family life. Consistency matters more than volume here, so the process is built to be sustainable from the start.
My child is talented but struggles under pressure. Can this help?
This is exactly the kind of player this programme is built for. Ability without consistency is one of the most common and most frustrating situations parents describe. The coaching goes directly to the root cause, the beliefs, habits, and emotional patterns driving the under-performance, and replaces them with something more stable. Talent is already there. The work is about making sure it shows up when it counts.
Will coaching put more pressure on my child?
No. The goal is the opposite. A lot of pressure young players carry comes from the stories they tell themselves about what mistakes mean, what others think, or what is at stake. This coaching helps your child separate their sense of self from results. Over time, they learn to compete with more freedom and less fear. The sessions are calm, practical, and focused on what they can control.
What if my child has already tried mindset coaching before?
It depends on what they experienced. A lot of mindset work stays at the surface, positive thinking, affirmations, or generic confidence advice. This programme works differently. It focuses on the beliefs and subconscious patterns that are actually driving the behaviour under pressure. If previous coaching did not produce lasting change, that is usually a sign the root cause was never properly addressed. This work goes deeper.
How do you measure progress?
Progress is tracked through regular reflection, player self-assessment, and feedback from sessions. We look at specific behaviours and patterns, not just match results. That might include how your child responds to a mistake, how they carry themselves when things are going wrong, or how quickly they reset between moments. You will also notice changes in how they talk about themselves, their team, and their performance over time.
What if my child is already performing well?
Mental performance work is not only for players who are struggling. Some of the most impactful coaching happens with players who are already performing but want to become more consistent, raise their standards, or handle the increased pressure of higher-level competition. Building a strong mental foundation now protects performance as the stakes increase. High-level environments test more than ability. They test character, composure, and mindset.
Is this only for athletes who are struggling?
Not at all. Players come into this programme at different stages. Some are in a difficult period and need to rebuild. Others are performing well but feel their mindset is the one area holding them back from the next level. And some are progressing fast and want to make sure their mental game matches their physical development. The coaching is tailored to where your child is right now.
Can coaching help with confidence away from sport too?
Yes, and this is one of the most consistent things parents notice. The tools your child develops here, how to manage self-doubt, how to respond to setbacks, how to separate performance from self-worth, transfer directly into school, social situations, and everyday life. Football is the context. The skills are much broader. Many parents describe lasting changes in how their child carries themselves outside of sport.
What happens if my child loses motivation during the programme?
Dips in motivation are a normal part of any development process, and they come up in coaching too. When they do, it becomes part of the work. We look at what is driving the drop, whether it is fear, pressure, external expectations, or something else, and address it directly. Your child will also have practical tools to reconnect with their own reasons for playing. The programme is built to work through the difficult moments, not around them.
Why invest in mental performance coaching at a young age?
Because the habits, beliefs, and emotional patterns a young player builds now will follow them into adult football and beyond. Waiting until problems become serious rarely makes them easier to fix. Players who develop a strong mental foundation early carry a significant edge. Not just in football, but in how they approach challenge, pressure, and setbacks throughout their life. This is a long-term investment in who your child is becoming, not just how they perform this season.
Ready to work on the part of your game nobody sees?
Private mental performance coaching.
My job as a mental performance coach is helping footballers build the mentality, mindset and confidence, and giving them the mental tools to perform under pressure, bounce back quicker from challenges and mistakes, and get curious about how far they can go in the game of football.
